Queensland
Queensland accounts for almost one-fifth of Australia's total land area. Fertile plains and river valleys run along its eastern shore, extending up to 200 kilometers inland.

Brisbane
Tropical fruits, cattle, and wool are the most important agricultural products. Brisbane was settled by convicts in 1825. Brisbane lives up to its sunny promise with a heavy emphasis on the outdoors - think al fresco eating, picnics by the river, islands off the coast, and national parks. The Sunshine Coast's beaches and coastal lakes are just north of Brisbane, while the Gold Coast is a major tourist destination to the south.
